THE ROLE

We are looking for a QA Lead to own and lead our QA efforts across technical products.

You will work hand-in-hand with the software engineers team and product managers to support Macadam’s rapid growth, attract top-tier international talent, and help structure QA processes to scale effectively.

This is a key position for us as we aim for the best in class mobile app.

Location: Barcelona

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead the QA team:

  • Manage the QA team and handle the full ownership of this team

  • Share the QA culture and values across the company

  • Mentor software engineers to create automated tests and support engineers to embrace the QA on a daily works

• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of tests through active iteration, knowledge sharing and onboarding of new people.

• Own the full QA process: take part of the technical design and review of product features.

• Provide reporting and insights on quality progress, KPIs, and incidents trends.

• Set quality expectation on each features while keeping the releasing pace of a small company

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• ~5 years of experience in QA, ideally within a startup or fast-growing tech company, mobile apps / digital products.

• Experience with mobile testing and backend REST API.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume development environment.

• Organized, structured, and proactive with strong communication skills (spoken and written).

• Fluent in English (working language); other languages are a plus.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS

HR Call - 30 min general conversation with a TA Manager so we can get to know each other better!

Hiring Manager Technical Call - deep dive into the role requirements and your experience, covering the technical part as well.

Cross Functional Interview - final onsite meeting with the CTO, Engineering and Product team members to discuss ways of working, cross team collaboration and answer any outstanding topics.
